Hydro microdermabrasion is used on all skin types and revitalises ageing skin, helps skin that is congested, blemished skin, or dull and discoloured skin. Hydro microdermabrasion uses a diamond-tipped wand to gently exfoliate the skin. This tip suctions the skin in a gentle manner, removing the dead skin cells. Oily skin becomes less greasy, and pores shrink. Mild acne scars can be reduced, and fine lines can be decreased.

About the treatment

Hydro microdermabrasion revitalises ageing skin and helps skin that is congested, blemished or discoloured

How does it work?
A fine diamond-head handpiece, coupled with suction, gently abrades loose and dead skin cells and clears blocked pores resulting in a smoother, fresher and brighter looking complexion. Our Deluxe Microdermabrasion treatment includes a double cleanse, skin analysis, dual action exfoliation, microdermabrasion, papaya enzyme peel, neck and head massage, steam, extractions, and finishing creams.
How long will the results last?
Results from your microdermabrasion treatment lasts several months but may last longer depending on how well you take care of your skin after treatment. Having regular ongoing microdermabrasion will stimulate the body to produce new layers of skin containing higher levels of elastin and collagen. This, in turn, improves the complexion and gives the skin a more radiant, vibrant glow year round.
Treatment preparation
There is no specific regime preceding a LED Hydro Microdermabrasion Treatment.
Who can have this treatment?
Microdermabrasion can be safely performed on all skin types (fair to darker skins) and is safe to have if pregnant and nursing. Microdermabrasion is not suitable for those who have been on Roaccutane in the last 6 months, have cystic acne, open wounds, infections, rosacea, psoriasis or dermatitis in the area to be treated.
Post-treatment care
Avoid the use of exfoliating scrubs, and active products including Vitamin A, Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA’s) and Beta-Hydroxy Acids (BHA’s) for 5-7days after your treatment. Avoid direct sun exposure for 2 weeks after your treatment and apply Daily SPF30+. Make-up can be used as desired however we recommend keeping the skin makeup free for at least 24hrs post treatment.
How many treatments will I need?
Depending on your skin concerns your therapist may recommend fortnightly or monthly microdermabrasion’s.
