PRP can be performed safely and effectively on the majority of patients, though it is most effective on clients that live a healthy active lifestyle. This treatment is not suitable for those suffering from blood-related conditions, anemia, or blood or bone cancers, severe metabolic and systemic disorders, abnormal platelet function, critical thomobocytopemia, haemodynamic instability, anticoagulation therapy and underlying sepsis. PRP therapy is not recommended during pregnancy or while nursing.
